Condition and History:
This flute was bought new in May of 2010, and then was only played very sparingly, and for only a few months, by one adult owner (she used her other backup flute for most practice and for lessons).  It was used only from May until December of 2010.  It has been carefully stored in a controlled environment since then, and looks amazingly beautiful with hardly a sign that it was used at all. The pads are excellent.  My experienced tech. recently made a few minor adjustments, and oiled it.  He commented on what a fantastic flute it is.

Playability:
This flute is fabulous.  The tone "melts in your mouth" and draws in the listener and the player (true in all registers).  The dynamics are very versatile; one can play very softly (even up high) with very little effort, and without losing the quality of tone, and also very full, with a bold and rich color (again in all registers).  As expected with a Miyazawa of this caliber, response and action are also fantastic.  I feel very fortunate to have gotten to play-test such an instrument!
