The owner is selling this instrument only because she has upgraded to a new gold Yamaha flute. When this Yamaha 894 was originally purchased by her five or six years ago, it was unanimously chosen as the favorite by several people during a blind test in which she played many flutes.
Condition: This flute has been extremely well-cared for, and has just been professionally overhauled. It is in excellent used condition with only very minimal light surface wear that is only noticable if one looks very carefully in good lighting.
Playability: Bright and beautiful sound. Price: New, in the early 2000s, this flute sold for close to $9000. Asking $3000 plus reasonable shipping fee.
