This beautiful instrument plays as well as some flutes that sell for a higher price. It would be great for an orchestral player or soloist, as well as anyone who wants a responsive instrument with a wide dynamic range and smooth key action. The gold riser also adds a colorful warmth, depth and richness to the sound. This flute will definitely keep up with a player's growing abilities! Specs: -sterling silver body, keys and mechanism -handcut headjoint with 14K riser -open hole -inline G -drawn tone holes -pointed key arms -B foot -Deveau scale (similar to the Bennett scale) -A=442 Comes with hardshell case and outer Cavalarro case cover, a cleaning rod and removable plugs for the holes.
Playability: The responsiveness and fullness of sound on this flute are impressive. The combination of the headjoint cut and the quality of the mechanism makes technical passages, as well as quickly tongued passages practically effortless! Plays with a balanced sound, and with a light touch, from the highest to the lowest notes.
