Condition and History:
This flute has been owned by at least two different owners.

A little bit of fun trivia:  It currently belongs to a Wyoming ranch girl.  When her dad was originally buying the flute for her, and found out how much it was going to cost, he said " do you know how many cows that is?!"

The flute has just been serviced by my trusted tech., and is in very good used condition.  It is clean, has very little surface wear for it's age (a small scuff on the foot joint and one on the barrel), and the pads are in excellent condition.  Both headjoints are excellent as well, with very few signs of use.

Playability:
Each Powell flute has a unique sound, and this is no exception (this one plays with a lovely sweet tone).  This flute speaks "crisply" and easily on quickly tongued passages, and the mechanism is smooth and fast, making technical passages flow easily.  Both the low and high notes "fall out" without much effort.  It is a joy to play!

The Drelinger headjoint makes a fuller more "edgy" sound,  giving the player even more options.
